AERO-005 - low table prototype

The AERO coffee table is the result of a brief that required a piece of furniture be designed using a single sheet of material and without the use of any additional materials such as glue, fasteners or resin. AERO was Inspired by the timber wing construction of early 20th century aeroplanes. The process of kerf bending is used to achieve the rounded edges of the plywood table. A single sheet of 18mm birch plywood is used in AERO's construction. The final product is a design that highlights the possibility of a single raw material.
